Our Terms
General
These terms do not supersede your statutory rights but rather they clarify the principles by which the Couthie Gifts website run by D&C Supplies Ltd operates. We take care to ensure that descriptions, images and product specifications along with delivery and return policies are stated correct, but if you spot an error or an omission do let us know. Minor colour changes between print runs and production cycles may occur.
Currency
All prices are in Pounds Sterling and include VAT at the prevailing rate, except books, which are zero rated. Credit cards sales will be charged in your local currency by your credit card provider at the prevailing exchange rate, which is variable. If we show an inaccurate offer or price, we are not obliged to honour the price or offer, but we will endeavour to be fair. If you see an incorrect price, please contact us and we will verify it.
Shipping/Carriage
The final price is quoted on the payments page, which includes delivery to your destination. These charges include carriage by UK Royal Mail or other designated carrier for large orders. Most orders are dispatched using Royal Mail's 2nd Class service. Courier delivery can be arranged and will be charged accordingly. We aim to deliver within 3-5 days of receipt of your order. While we cannot guarantee that all items will always be in stock, but we do keep stock-levels up to date. Should an item be out of stock we will revise the delivery date. Alternatively, we will refund your payment.
Local Duties and Taxes
You are responsible for any duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country. An invoice is provided with all shipped orders.
Damage & Loss in Transit
Things do occasionally get lost or damaged in transit. If this happens, please advise us and we will send out a replacement as soon as possible. In the unlikely event a delivery goes missing or goods are damaged, we may try and recover our costs from the carrier in question, so may contact you to provide relevant documentation, but only in case of such a claim. If you receive a damaged parcel, please take a note or a photograph before opening the parcel. If courier delivered make sure that you sign for it with the following caveat: 'damaged package; goods not yet inspected' or similar. Contact us by email at sales@dr-agencies.co.uk as soon as possible. There is no need to return damaged goods unless we ask you.
Cancellation (UK Residents Only)
UK residents may cancel their contract to purchase goods by formally notifying us within a period of seven working days of delivery, provided that the goods are immediately returned to us at the following address (to arrive within fourteen days of you originally receiving them): D&C Supplies Ltd, 5 Wellington Road, Low Moss Industrial EST Bishopbriggs, Glasgow G64 2SA. Goods must be in 'as sold' condition, the packaging unbroken / intact. A full refund of the product only as if you've decided to return the product this is your choice so the postage cost will not be returned to you. We've paid for this to be sent so this is only fair. Once the goods have arrived back to us the refund will be made. The return cost is at your expense also.
Payment and Retention of Title
All goods must be paid for prior to dispatch. Goods shipped prior to clearance of payments remain the property of D&C Supplies Ltd until payment is received in full.
Confidentiality and Privacy
We will keep information supplied to us strictly confidential. We do not share mailing lists or shipping information with third parties unless they are managing and shipping our orders. Information supplied to us may be stored on a computer systems. Our credit/debit card payment gateways WorldPay and PayPal are secure services, but independent so your credit card details cannot be divulged to us or third parties.
Applicable Law and Courts of Jurisdiction
All transactions undertaken through this website are governed by Scottish Law and any legal actions arising out of such transactions shall be subject to Scottish legal processes and under the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.
Legal Entity Statement
D&C Supplies Ltd's total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by D&C Supplies Ltd to the customer. D&C Supplies Ltd is registered in Scotland under the Companies Act 2006, Company Number: SC451885 - Incorporated on 10 June 2013.
